Abstract
The session will discuss the (lack of) impact of the Java Object-Oriented feedback tool Andrew has developed, and recently open-sourced, on supporting a group of around 100 first year students learning Java, as well as plans for future work.

In addition to being a member of staff in the Department of Computer Science, Andrew is a PhD student, under the supervision of Prof Nigel John. His research interests lie in the pedagogy of programming
